You recently booked a trip for me to Rhodes and Symi:
I had a great time.
The local agents were really good. On Rhodes Triton booked my ferries and
offered to store my suitcase whilst I spent a couple of hours in Rhodes
before going to the airport. I dealt with Adriana who was really helpful.
The Mediterranean Hotel was lovely - excellent buffet breakfasts.
Francis and the team at Kaloudoukas on Symi were wonderful. I did the day
trip to Datca, Turkey, for the Saturday market and that was great,
though it’s worth mentioning you have to book the day before and present
your passport. I didn't realise this, but one of the staff whizzed me
round the port on a motorbike to present my passport and they let me on.
The studio (Penelope down) was in a really good location (half way up the
hill so not too big a hike to village or port) and had a large terrace. It
is equipped to a very high standard with kettle, toaster and iron all
available. There was even a welcome pack!

Four houses in sea-captains' style amongst shady pines shortly before Nimborios from Gialos. Each apartment has a double bedroom with en suite sh/wc, sitting room, dining room and kitchen. The views to the Turkish coast are breathtaking and the surroundings peaceful.

The Mule House, Chorio
Another conversion with splendid views over Pedi. Above the living room is a moussandra, reached by steps, with a double-bed. The other bedroom is a ground floor double-bedded room. The mule lives out. Fans.

Iapetos Village
A recently opened village-style cluster of 19 luxurious two-floor cottages and six studios round an attractive garden flanked on one side by the open-air bar and no the other by the plunge pool built into something resembling a medieval market-cross in England. The cottages have an extra room downstairs for children and can therefore accommodate up to 6 persons.

Aliki Hotel
The original posh hotel on Symi's waterfront, the Aliki is an old manor house lovingly converted into a small exclusive hotel. Every room is different (mainly because major alterations would have flouted the strict planning laws), some having sea view, some not and some higher rooms havung access to a covered balcony; there is also a roof terrace with lovely views.
